Meet Dr. Nam Hun Kim, DMD, FICOI
Dr. Nam Hun Kim earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts School of Dental Medicine. Before becoming a dentist Dr. Kim had worked as a youth pastor and studied theology at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. where he earned a Master of Divinity degree. Dr. Kim is a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Dental Association. Dr. Kim practices all forms of general dentistry and holds fellowship status from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). With his unique background in ministry, Dr. Kim is dedicated to provide preventive services and excellent dental care to all patients. Apart from serving his patients, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with his family.

Greenfield Dental Associates has been caring for the residents of Greenfield, MA, in the same location for over 40 years.
Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Nam Hun Kim was a pastor and continues his service to others by listening to his patients. Dr. Kim and his staff enjoy working with patients to help them overcome their dental anxiety and take great care to understand their patient’s individual needs.
Our office is about a half-mile from the downtown area and just one mile from Poet’s Seat Tower.

Joan Powell, Registered Dental Hygienist
Joan has been making lasting connections with the patients of Greenfield Dental as a hygienist for almost 2 decades! With a strong passion for full body wellness, Joan believes in healing the body from the inside out. She teaches dental health while helping you commit to complete oral and overall health. Joan loves to expand her knowledge about nutrition, and she practices what she preaches. She loves all animals & supports animal rescue shelters. You can schedule an appointment to see Joan on Tuesdays and some Fridays.
Amanda Melanson, Registered Dental Hygienist
Amanda has been with Greenfield Dental Associates for 3 years. She’s known to provide high quality care while treating her patients with compassion and empathy. She has a gift of connecting with people, which is why she is so loved by our patients. With her gentle touch and calming personality she has helped many members of our community with dental anxiety, and she’s great with children. Amanda is available Tuesdays, Thursdays and most Fridays.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys kayaking and stand up paddle boarding at the area’s many beautiful lakes.
Michelle Engstrom, Registered Dental Hygienist
We were lucky to add Michelle to our team in 2020. With over 12 years’ experience, Michelle prioritizes providing her patients with thorough care and education about their dental health. Michelle knows to care for the whole person, not just their teeth. With her calming presence, Michelle strives to help our patients obtain and maintain optimal dental health in the most gentle and caring manner, and hopes to have you looking forward to your next cleaning! Michelle is available for appointments Monday, Wednesday & Thursday.
Lynn Hannula, Registered Dental Hygienist
Lynn joined Greenfield Dental in 2021, but it feels like she’s always been here. She’s a go-getter, team player, and radiates joy and kindness. Lynn creates a safe, caring and fun environment for patients, while providing the highest quality care. If they sold “Lynn energy bars” we’d buy ‘em!
Specializing in periodontal care, Lynn loves having the opportunity to help her patients establish healthy oral hygiene habits, no matter what age. With 11 years of experience, she plays an integral role in creating & maintaining a lifetime of healthy smiles for all of her patients. Lynn is available for appointments Monday-Thursday.
Maranda, Certified Dental Assistant
You will likely meet Maranda during a visit with Dr. Kim, where she will be assisting in your care, as a Certified Dental Assistant.
With Greenfield Dental since 2021, Maranda is excited about her career in the dental field, and carries her enthusiasm with her. So far, we haven't caught Maranda without a smile. She is passionate about oral health, education and improving overall patient care.
Her bubbly personality, caring nature and infectious smile will be sure to make you feel welcome and safe during your visit.
Lauren, Certified Dental Assistant
After being a valued patient here for many years, Lauren finally joined the team after becoming a Certified Dental Assistant. Lauren naturally cares for others. She uplifts those around her and always works toward making a positive impact. She’s dedicated to providing the best care to every one of our patients and will help get you moving in the right direction. Lauren’s passion project outside of work is advocating for animals. She finds homes for adoptable cats and hopes to foster sick kittens. Loving all animals, her favorite is a cat. We think Lauren’s other passion is posting photos of cats to her Facebook page.
